Veronica M. Lumley, age 83, of Lansing died Friday, March 31, 2006 in Phoenix, AZ.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 17 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing with Rev. Daniel Knipper and Rev John Moser co-celebrating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery in Lansing.

Veronica was born in Center Township of Allamakee County, Iowa January 26, 1923 to John and Josephine J. (Wille) Wendler. She married Earl Lumley February 7, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ. Veronica worked for 40 years for Interstate Power Company as a cashier in their Lansing office.

Veronica is survived by her husband, Earl Lumley of Lansing; a stepson, Leigh (Shirley) Lumley of Salem, OR; a step granddaughter, Holly (Jerry) Depew of Stanley, UT; a step great grandson, Nicholas Depew of Stanley, UT; a brother-in-law, Roy (Louise) Lumley of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Doris (Kenneth) Walters of LaCrosse, WI; and a number of cousins and nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by two sisters in infancy.

Casketbearers were Donald Willie, Joe Willie, Ray Willie, Randy Hesse, Mick Meyer and Herb Hageman.
