The death of Robert Buege took place at St. Francis Hospital, LaCrosse, Wis., at 1:55 a.m., Sunday, July 24, 1932. He had been in poor health for the past year or more, but was not taken seriously ill until in May, and since that time he was in more or less pain continuously. His condition became critical and on Saturday morning he was taken to LaCrosse, where his suffering was relieved, but the ordeal proved too much for his weakened constitution.

Mr. Buege was born in Germany Febraury 26, 1866, and reached the age of 66 years, 4 months and 28 days. He came with his parents to this country when about nine years old and settled on a farm in French Creek township. At an early age he began working to help his father support the large family of younger brothers and sisters. After the death of his father in 1903 he provided a home for his mother. About thirteen years ago he moved to Lansing, which place has since been his home. Since the death of his mother he has lived alone.

Deceased is survived by five brothers, Frank, William, Herman, Emil and Ferdinand, and four sisters, Mrs. Aaron Dawson, Mrs. Lewis Ashbacher, Mrs. Wm. Bublitz and Mrs. Frank Zazulka, all of this vicinity.

He was a man of temperate habits, honest in word and deed, and a good neighbor. He liked to associated with people and made friends with everybody, especially with the children.
I know not what the future hath, Of marvel or surpise;
Assured alone that life and death, His mercy underlies.

The funeral services took place from the Saam Funeral Parlors and the French Creek Methodist Episcopal church Tuesday afternoon, with interment in the nearby cemetery, Rev. A. C. Prust officiating.
