Albert Howes Rites Are Held

The Rev. William Tjaden officiated at the funeral services for Albert Scott Howes, 64, of Waukon Wednesday, Nov. 21 in Martin funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in the Mt. Hope church cemetery.

Mr. Howes died Sunday, Nov. 18 in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital.

He was born Oct. 16, 1909 in Booneville, Mo., and was a son of Frank and Jessie Scott Howes. He attended Waukon high school and was a farmer.

Survivors are a son David of Madison, Wis., and a daughter Mrs. Harry (Susan)Scott of Baltic, Conn. His mother Mrs. Jessie Howes of Waukon, a sister Mrs. Dwight (Jessie) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Francis of Waukon and John of South Bend, Ind., also survive.

Mr. Howes was a member of Mt. Hope Presbyterian church.

Michael Burke, Charles Hartley, Donald Bulman, Paul Howes, Richard Howes and William Howes were pallbearers.
