GRANGER Charles Trumbull, lawyer; b. Monroe Co NY, Oct 9, 1835; academic ed'n at Waukegan, Ill.; taught school until Aug 1862; was supt schools Mitchell Co. la 1861-2; admitted to bar, 1860, at Waukon, la. Twice married; now widower. Recruited, Aug, 1862, Co K 27th Iowa inf.; was its capt to close of war. After war practiced law; dist att'y, 10th jud. dist., la., 1869-72; circuit judge, 1872-86; dist. judge after change of jud. system, 1886-9; judge Supreme Court, Iowa, 1889-1900. Address: Waukon, la.
