finding record of great grandmother

Hi. Trying to find information on great-grandmother. I have seen names of Emma Deal, Emily Deal, born in Ft. Madison Iowa. She had sisters who ran a dress shop in Ft. Madison. She married Joseph T. Penn 1891. Had 7 children, 4 lived. Lived in Prescott, Iowa but not sure if that is where she died (1904). She evidently committed suicide by jumping into a cistern. No one seems to know where and I can't find any information on her at all. She died when my grand-mother was 2 years old. Joseph T. Penn married a Clara Buckner and had 2 children with her-Phoebe & Eugene. One record says she got married in Ft. Madison but I haven't seen it. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate hearing about it. I have one picture of her-a beautiful woman. I wonder what desperation she endured to want to end her life.
