Fannie Josephine Rogers, daughter of Dennet E. and Alice Sheldon Wycoff, was born in Adams County, Iowa, January 21, 1885 and passed away February 21, 1973 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home at the age of 88 years, and 1 month.
She and Eben Harvey Rogers were married February 9, 1921 at the home of her parents in Corning, Iowa. They had one daughter, Jennie Alice, who passed away before her second birthday. Except for a few years in early childhood, when the family lived in Nebraska, Fannie's entire life was spent in Adams County, Iowa.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marguerite Wycoff of Elgin, Illinois; a nephew and wife, Dick and Rosalee Wycoff of Scottsdale, Arizona; a great nephew and nieces of Chicago, Illinois and another niece, Jet Rogers of Corning, Iowa.
Fannie attended the Corning High School and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in the rural schools and in the Corning schools.
She joined the Brethren Church in early childhood and since living in Corning attended the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at the Roland Funeral Home in Corning, February 24, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. James King. Interment was in the the Prairie Rose Cemetery. Music was provided by Donna Peckham. Pall bearers were Roy Maeder, Dick Wycoff, Bill Shaler, Byron Stanley, Seymour Schafer, and Ronald Schafer.
