Mrs. Ole Larson of Strand vicinity, passed from this life Saturday morning, December 15th, at an early hour at the home of Mrs. I. T. Hornan. The body was taken to the family home near Strand and the funeral services were held Monday at the Strand Church, conducted by Rev. Mr. Lundy. Interment was in the Strand Cemetery.
Betsey Erickson, was a daughter of Ole and Betsey Olson Erickson. She was born in Norway on the 5th of April, 1857, being aged 66 years, 8 months, and 10 days at the time of her death. She was married to Ole Larson of Strand and for some years that has been the family home. Besides her husband, Mrs. Larson leaves her children and a large circle of friends. On Friday of last week, Mrs. Larson came to Corning to do some trading and while in the J. E. Carmichael store she was seized with a hemorrhage of the brain. The afflicted lady was at once taken in the home of Mrs. I. T. Homan, where all that could be done for her until she passed away at about 1 o'clock on Saturday morning. The sympathy of a large circle of friends and acquaintances is extended to the bereaved ones.
