MRS. IRA JACKSON
The community was saddened Wednesday morning, January 2nd to learn of the death of Mrs. Ira R. Jackson of the Fairview vicinity, who’s death occurred in Rosary hospital early that morning where she was taken after a fall She has been in failing health for several months, seeming to fail rapidly after her fall.
Lillian Little Jackson was born in Jasper township, Adams County, Iowa, October 27, 1872, daughter of Garrett and Caroline Little. Here she grew to womanhood and on December 23, 1896, she was united in marriage to Ira R. Jackson in the home of her parents.
Mrs. Jackson has always been a fine example of Christian womanhood, faithful to her church and its activities, having even a member of the Fairview Christian Church for many years. She was an understanding friend, kindly and pleasant, liked by all which whom she came in contact, and loved by all who were privileged to know her better.
She is survived by her devoted husband, two children, Vida and Chester, both of Brooks, her daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Little of Aurora, Illinois, and George Little of Brooks; one sister, Mrs. Ella Hewitt of Lenox.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 4, in the Boyd Roland Company Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Vern Willey, with interment in the Prairie Rose Cemetery. Music was furnished by John Ruegel, accompanied by Mrs. John Champ. Pall bearers were Albert Lund, Maurice Richard, Wayne Moore, Albert Richard, Ora Konecne, and Life Thomas.
