She was united with Francis A. Griffith, November 1, 1873. To this union eight children were born, two dying in infancy. One daughter, Mrs. C. C. Berry passed away at the age of 29, and one son, Robert in his thirtieth year, the husband preceding her in death on February 18, 1931.
A few years after her marriage they came to Iowa and finally settled in Adams County, where the family was reared and where she resided until the close of her earthly life.
Early in life Mrs. Griffith declared her faith in her Savior and has thru the years held to that faith. When she came to Corning she united with the Christian Church.
Mrs. Griffith has been in poor health for a number of years, but her last sickness was of only one weeks duration. Her transition came as a relief from the cuffing of this earthly life..
She leaves to mourn their loss four children, Mrs. A. B. Condon of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. E. E. Livingston of Doylesville, Colorado; Mrs. W. J. Harper, of Dennison; six grandchildren and many friends.
The funeral service was held at the Boyd Rollin Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 1932 at 3:00 o’clock conducted by Rev. Arthur M. Eastman. The body was laid to rest in the South Cemetery.
