OBITUARY
The death of Frank A. Griffith, who has been a resident of Adams county for the past forty-five years, occurred Wednesday, February 18, 1931, following an illness of nearly a month. Mr. Griffith and his wife were both taken ill the latter part of January with influenza. Mr. Griffith's illness developed into mastoid trouble, which was the direct cause of his death. Mrs. Griffith was still too ill to attend the funeral. Services were held at the Boyd Roland Funeral Home Friday, February 20th, with Rev. L. W. Verts in charge. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
Frank A. Griffith, son of James and Elizabeth Griffith, was born in Madison, Wisconsin, February 2, 1849. He was the youngest son in the family, and was at the time of his death 82 years and 16 days old. When 19 years of age he came with his parents to Indiana and in 1886 he moved to Adams county and has since resided here. In 1873 he was married to Sarah Lockhart and to this union eight children were born. The four who survive are : Mrs. E. E. Livingston, Doylesville, Colo: Mrs. A. S. Condon of Des Moines, Iowa: Mrs W. L. Harper of Sioux Rapids, Iowa: and Paul F. Griffith of Dennison, Iowa.
The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Griffith extend sympathy to the family.
