Reglan Inkerman Nicoll, son of Thomas and Rachel Nicoll, was born at Briscoe, Iowa on February 21, 1889 and passed away at Kansas City, Kansas on June 7, 1949, aged 60 years, 3 months, and 18 days.
On May 30, 1933, he was united in marriage to Lavenia Adams of Corning, Iowa, who preceded him in death on December 28th, 1938.
As a young man he was in business with his father in Mt. Etna, Iowa.
He served overseas in World War I. In July 1919 he was discharged and returned to the Mt. Etna community, where he engaged in farming and cared for his parents while they lived.
During this period he served for about fourteen years as assessor of Washington Township in Adams County, Iowa.
In 1939 he moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where he was in business for himself and where he lived at the time of his death.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Peterson of Corning, Iowa and Miss Bessie Nicoll of Toledo, Ohio and two brothers, Thomas B. of Huntington Park, California and Clifford No. of Carroll, Iowa.
Services were held Thursday, June 9, at 2 p.m. from the Boyd Roland Co. Funeral Home in Corning, conducted by Rev. Harry Rogers. Music was by John Riegel, accompanied by Mrs. Lyle Posten. Interment was made in Forest Hill Cemetery with the Corning National Guard participating
