Gourd-April 27, 1893, at her home in Quincy Township, Mrs. Eva E., wife of Wm. Gourd, Jr. aged 30 years and 4 months.
The funeral services were held April 28, at the home and interment was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Ohio and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Williams, removed to this county in 1863, and settled near the town of Quincy. She grew to womanhood here and was married to William Gourd Jr. in 1887. Mrs. Gourd was noted for her many good and womanly qualities and was loved and esteemed by her neighbors and numerous acquaintances. In addition to other relatives, she leaves a devoted husband, an infant child and a multitude of friends to mourn her death.
