Miss Fannie Herring died in Omaha, Nebraska last Friday, October 30, 1908. Miss Herring was not well, having a bad headache and had gone to her room and taken the medicine, we are informed. Later a member of the family heard her moan and went to her room and found her in quite a serious condition. However, she was able to tell that she had taken headache tablets. A doctor was summoned, but it was too late to do any good and death resulted in a short time.
Miss Herring was born in Illinois and was 41 years, 6 months, and a few days old at the time of her death. She spent most of her life in Corning, but at the time of her death had been working in a private family in Omaha. She was a daughter of Mrs. M. J. Herring and the remains were brought to Corning and the services held Sunday at the home of her mother, at 1:30, conducted by Rev. J. C. Ackley.
Interment was made in Prairie Rose Cemetery. Besides her mother, she leaves two brothers and one sister, Mrs. Carroll, who attended the funeral.
