Aurel Bell Jett was born April 6, 1892 in the town of Mt. Etna, Iowa and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa after a long illness, on July 3, 1960 at the age of 63 years, 3 months, and 2 days.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hollingsworth of Nodaway, Iowa. Both of her parents preceded her in death in 1948.
She was united in marriage to James Ernest Jett on December 25, 1910. He husband preceded her in death in 1947. To this union four sons were born, Harold of Clarinda, James D. of Corinth, California, Garnett H. of Shreveport, LA, and one son who died in infancy.
In addition to her three sons, she leaves to mourn nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of friends, relatives, and may acquaintances.
Services were held Sunday, July 10, 1960 at 3 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway, Iowa with Rev. Alvin Sigafus officiating. Pall bearers were Clyde Vaughn, Raymond Spring, Rex Davis, Robert Gourley, Clyde Lewis, and Theron Kernen. Flower bearers were Mrs. Clyde Vaughn, Mrs. Veryl Ellis and Mrs. Ted Kennedy. Music was by Mrs. Frances Gray and Mr. Martin Taylor. Interment was in Nodaway Cemetery.
