Herman Newman, for many years in the clothing and tailoring business at Creston, died at Omaha last Sunday. The deceased was born in Germany in 1843 and came to this country in 1860. He located in Nebraska and in 1874 came to Creston where he continued to reside until a few years ago. He is survived by a wife and two sons. The funeral was held at Omaha on Tuesday. Mr. Newman was known to a large number of Adams County people who did business with him and by many who had learned to know him through his prominent connection with the Odd Fellows and Mason orders.
