Cook, Joe (Jon) -
Joe (Jon) Cook, age 60, Nodaway, IA passed away at his residence, October 18,
2005.
Mr. Cook was born June 28, 1945 in Indianola, IA to Joseph Jonathan and Kathleen
(Ford) Cook. He graduated from Corning High School, class of 1963 and attended the
University of Iowa for one year. He married Mary Ann Peterson, December 4, 1976
in Villisca, IA.
He was a carpenter for Cook Construction for 30 years.
He was a member of the Nodaway Corn Carnival; and AA.
Services for Mr. Cook were held October 21, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church,
Corning, IA; Rev. Ken Rummer officiated at the services.
Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery, Nodaway. Memorials may be made to the family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, Nodaway, IA. and his mother, Kathleen Cook, Corning,
IA. His sons Jon and Jason McAlexander and their families; J.R. Cook, Clarinda,
IA and daughters Veronica Suzette Cook, Nodaway, IA. and Moroque Danielle Cook,
Nodaway, IA.; and one grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Jeffrey Alan (Jill)
Cook, Gladstone, MO. and sisters, Joan Kay (Marlow) Peterson, Osceola, IA; and
Jane Ann (Larry) Okasaki, Commerce City, CO. Also survived by numerous nieces,
nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, an infant son, Timothy Cook and a brother,
James Rae Cook.
