Gray, Marilyn Peterson -
Marilyn Gray of Corning, formerly of Prescott, passed away at the Corning Nursing and Rehab Center, in Corning on October 15,
2003. There was a graveside services Saturday, October 18, 2003, in the Evergreen Cemetery, Prescott. Pastor Roy Cook
of the Stringtown Community Church conducted the services. Memorials in her name may be made to the Corning Public Library
in Marilyn's name.
She was born December 20, 1932, Atlantic to Dayle Arvid and Burnette Marie (Caton) Peterson. She graduated from the Prescott
High School in 1950 and attended the Commercial Extension Business School, Omaha. She was married to James Edward
Gray on October 24, 1952 in Prescott.
Marilyn worked at Union Carbide for many years and was also a librarian in Prescott. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran
Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, and sons Mike (Sherry) Gray, Prescott and Patrick, Corning. She is also survived by a sister,
Janean (Larry) Maeder, Corning; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Gray, Corning. There are seven grandchildren and two great
grandchildren surviving.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and a son, Robert.
