Jack was a hardworking man who worked for over fifty-two years at the light plant for Corning Municipal Utilities. Jack was from the "old school" of thinking wherein you were always a
dedicated employee. He was on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and he never complained. That was his job. He served for over twenty years as a volunteer fireman and was a member of the Corning Christian Church.
Jack and Betty shared over sixty-one years of happiness together. They loved their family and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They enjoyed their
many friends in both the Corning and Lenox area, and Jack always seemed to know "what was going on" up and down Main Street!
Left to cherish Jack's memory are his loving wife Betty of Corning; two sons, Dennis Hill and wife Paulette of Middle Amana, Iowa; and John Hill of Corning a daughter, Luann Combs and husband Rich of Atlantic; a sister, Delma Richards of Carroll; & grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
