Hoskinson, Vernon -
Vernon Hoskinson, 61, of Rockwall, Texas, formerly of Prescott, Iowa, passed away May 7, 2002 at his home in Rockwall, Texas. Services were held on May 11, 2002 at Prescott United Church, Disciples of Christ in Prescott. Officiating was Rev. Jeanne Groom. Internment was at the Mt Zion Cemetery.
Memorials are to be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul Hospice. Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
He was born on February 4, 1941 in Prescott to Leland Stanford Hoskinson and Ila Lucille Putnam. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1958, went to the University of Nebraska and graduated with a degree in accounting in 1972.
He also attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University, graduating in 1976.
He married Frances Ann Hethcote on June 23, 1962 in Prescott. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for 24 years then went to work for the Bank of America for 19 years. He had a home in Rockwall, Texas, and also in Prescott. He
was a member of the Lake Point Baptist Church in Rockwall, Texas. He will have military services from the United States Army Reserve.
He was survived by his wife, Frances Ann Hoskinson, and his children, Laurie (Scott) Smith of Nashville, TN., Julie (Rob) Clark of Denver, CO., Brothers, Earl (Lorrie) Hoskinson of Riverside, CA., and Sisters, Lois (Calvan) Pals of Bowie, MD., and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Francis (Bud) and Anneva Hethcote.
