Clifford Hunter Odell, son of Dello Truman and Stella Palmer Ode ll, was born March 27, 1010, near Nodaway, Iowa, and passed away Feb. 14, 1986, at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 17 days.
He graduated from Nodaway High School and spent most of his life farming.
May 24. 1932, he was united in marriage with Mildred Winifred Lane of Prescott, Iowa. Three children were born to this union. Dale, Carol and Glenn. Mildred preceded him in death July 19.1982.
In 1951 he began working for Lines Furniture in Corning. He retired in 1978 and spent many happy hours at his favorite pastime of woodworking, making wonderful gifts for his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was united in marriage with Helen Parker August, 11 1963.
Survivors include his wife Helen; three children. Dale of Keokuk, Iowa, Carol and husband Bud Thomas of Tipp City. Ohio and Glenn and wife Marj of Norman. Okla.; six grandchildren, Dawn and husband Howard Pollpeter of Wever, Iowa, Lee Odell of Keokuk. Iowa. Kevin and Eric Thomas of Tipp City, Ohio, and Tami and Tommy Odell of Norman, Okla., and one great-grandchild, Amber Pollpeter of Wever, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Corning Feb. 17 at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Kenneth Rummer officiating. Interment was in the Brooks Cemetery, Brooks, Iowa.
Music was provided by Rev. Kenneth Rummer, violinist, and Dorothy Cook, organist. Ushers were Burton Heaton and Jeff Milhillin. Casket bearers were Max Lines, Jim Walter, John Harris. Harry Fehrle, Doug Sickler, Raymond Moore, Dr. C.L. Bain and Carl Zimmerman.
