Maude Rimby Bixler

Maude Rimby Bixler was born June 23, 1877 at Carbon, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Rimby and passed away May 1, 1959 at Corning, Iowa. She united in marriage to Frank Allen Bixler on November 3, 1895. To this union three sons and four daughters were born. The oldest son died in infancy.
Survivors include Charles of Chula Vista, California, William of Corning, Iowa, Mrs. Irene Colgan of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Babe Root of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Velma Alley of Iowa and Helen of Des Moines, Iowa, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Allen Bixler, December 22, 1949, two brothers, Dale and Stephen.
Maude and Frank lived all their lives in Adams County on a farm north of Corning, until Mr. Bixler's sickness in 1949, when they moved to Corning.
Among the many virtues of Maude was that she was always known for her cheerful disposition, for her spirit of radiance, doing good for God, her family, and others.
Funeral services were Sunday, May 3, from the Methodist Church in Corning, conducted by Rev. Brown Garlock. Interment was in Quincy Cemetery.
