Mrs. John F. Ruth died at her home in Carbon, Iowa, on Friday, September 24, 1926, aged 60 years, 1 month, and 20 days.
The funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Carbon. Sunday, September 26th, conducted by Rev. Charles W. Johnson, and burial was made in tho Quincy cemetery.
~Mrs. Ruth, whose maiden name was Lulu Belle Lantz, was born in this county, August 4, 1876. On August 6, 1893, she was married to John R. Ruth and to them was born four children, all of whom with husband survive her.
The children are William, Chester, Paul and one daughter, Mrs. Misner. Also there is left one brother and one sister. All the survivors are residents of Adams County. Mrs. Ruth was well known and respected in her home community, where her life has been spent. A large gathering of friends and neighbors attended the funeral and universal sorrow was manifested over the departure of this good woman.
