Mary Caroline Kendrick, the daughter of William and Sarah Catherine Ridnour Kendrick was born December 15, 1889 near Guss, Iowa and passed away at Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa on May 9, 1962 at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 13 days after a prolonged illness.
She lived her entire life in Adams, Page, and Taylor Counties. She was united in marriage to Ross King on October 26, 1910 at Clarinda, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ronald Kesler (Wilma) of Prescott, Iowa; five sons, Wilber of Corning, Cliff of Villisca, Delmar of Littleton, Colorado, and Delbert of Nodaway; five daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Charley King of Red Oak; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, two sisters, a brother, her step-father, two half sisters.
She was a wonderful, kind, and loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 11, 1962 at 2 p.m. from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. Brown Garlock officiating. Music was by Mrs. Marvin Fuller, Mrs. Joe Cook, and Mrs. Dick Cook. Pallbearers were Virgil King, Ross King, Dale King, Corwin Mauderly, Chester Kendrick, and Thelbert Kendrick. Interment was in the Guss Cemetery.
