Jessie Maud Means Miller was born November 9, 1895 in Adams County, Iowa, and passed away January 4, 1978 at Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 25 days. She was the only daughter and third child of Isaac Bing and Susie A. Bailiff Means.
Jessie was reared in Adams County as a girl, and lived in Adams and Cass counties all her life.
She waa united in marriage to Harry Otto Miller on October 9, 1922 at Onawa, Iowa. To this union waa born one son, Clifford Austin.
Jessie was a member of the Mt. Etna Church of the Brethren since the early 30's.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Pete and Orlo, and her husband, Harry.
Survivors include one brother, J.F. Means and his wife Goldie of Afton; her son Clifford and his wife Ruby; two grandchildren, Garland Miller and Norma M. Kingery; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Jessica Ann Kingery, Many nieces and
nephews ahd a hoast of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Brethren Church in Mt. Etna, January 7 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Elmer West and Rev. Leslie Rogers officiating. Interment ment was in the Mt. Etna
Cemetery.
Music was provided by Lee West, soloist and DeAnna Allison, accompanist. Flowerbearers were Glee Helvie and Virginia Williams. Marguerite McCrary was in charge of the register. Casketbearers were John Boswell, Jeff Hedinger. Larry Miller, Randy Ramsey, Clarence Boswell and Dale Boswell. Honorary bearers were Bill Boswell, Eka Boswell, Don Goodvin, Russell Ramsey, Warren Johston and Albert Hedinger.
