Ruby Maxine Tyler, 74, was born April 20, 1919, in Adams County to George Fisher and Darthula Olsen Booth and died August 11,1993, at Mercy Hospital in Corning. Services were held August 16 from the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Corning, the Rev. Richard Layman officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Corning. Mrs. Tyler attended country schools in Adams County, She married George W. Tyler May 20,1939, in Maryville, Missouri. During World War II she worked with her husband in the shipyards in Oregon for three years. When they returned, they began farming in the Adams County area and lived there for many years. They moved to Denver, Colorado, in the late 1950's where they lived for several years before returning to Adams County where they continued farming. They moved into Corning in 1971 and retired. In June of 1993 she entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Villisca. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Russell Booth and a brother-in-law,Lynn Brown. Survivors include a sister, Helena Brown of Renton, Washington; a sister-in-law, Letha (John) Houlthan of Corning; a brother-in-law, Paul (Anita) Tyler of Genesco, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Berta Booth, of Corning. Casket bearers were Ray Reed, Verle Vogel, Ray Reynolds, Darrell Harvey and Jeff Yearington. Honorary casket bearers were Jesse Givan, Lloyd Warren and Dale Adams. Memorials may be directed to the Mercy Hospital Building Fund. Coen-Beaty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
