Minnie M. Hammond Howard

Minnie M. Hammond, daughter of James and Martha Hammond, was born in Maryville, Missouri, September 7, 1876, and departed this life at her home near Nodaway October 28, 1926, aged 50 years, I month, and 31 days.
She was united in marriage to Oliver O. Howard, June 3, 1897. To Mr. and Mrs. Howard were born four children, Mildred, Lewis, Eunice and Leota.
Mrs. Howard was converted and united with the South Methodist Episcopal church in early childhood and later united with the Methodist Episcopal church. She was always willing to sacrifice to help others.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband, and four children, Mrs. Mildred Walters of Brooks; Lewis H. Howard, of Coburg, Iowa; Mrs. Eunice Landras of Carbon, and Leota Marie at home; also her aged mother, Mrs. Martha Thompson of Parnell, Missouri, one brother, Lewis M. Hammond of Parnell, Missouri, Mrs. Ellen Eslinger, of Nevada, Missouri, and Mrs. Charles Broils of Wilcox, Missouri; besides a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Howard was always a faithful, loyal, and loving mother and wife.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of O. R. Jones, Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery.
Those who attended Mrs. Howard's funeral from a distance were, Mrs. Martha Thompson, Mrs. Etta Hammond and family, Levi Hammond and family all of Parnell, Missouri, Mrs. Ben Malan, Mrs. Harry Karr and daughter, Mrs. Alice Broils and daughter, Mrs. Oliver King, Mr. and Mrs. Hill, Will and C. H. Wiseman and two nieces of Maryville, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, Albert and Frank Cherry of Red Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Howard and son of Coburg, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Landrus of Carbon, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Neb Combs, and daughter Dorothy of New Market, and Scott Thompson of Allison, Iowa.
