Joseph W. Hardee, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hardee was born December 26, 1856 and died in Corning, March 11, 1939 aged 82 years, 2 months, 16 days.
Mr. Hardee was married to Nancy Mae Lacock in March of 1883. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Ida Pullen of Bedford and Walter Hardee of Villisca, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchldren; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Lacock of Hinsdale, Montana, and Mrs. Ella Thomas of Bedford, Iowa. His wife, his parents, and several sisters and brothers preceded him in death, one brother having passed away about a year ago.
Short services will be held at the Boyd Roland Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 1:00 conducted by the Rev. J. H. Krenmyre and burial in Methodist Grove Cemetery.
