The little daughter of Daniel K. Strain and wife died at their home in Nodaway Monday afternoon. the father left home in the forenoon when the child appeared in normal health and took the 1 o'clock train for Corning, where he was to serve as a member of the grand jury. He had been at the county seat but a short time when he was informed by phone of the illness of his child. The child died before he arrived home. the cause of the child's death was acute indigestion. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church at 11 o'clock Wednesday, conducted by Rev. E. B. Linn. Evelyn Esther Strain was born June 26, 1903 and passed away March 25, 1907. she was sick only about one hour. She leaves her father and mother and many friends to mourn her loss.
