Mrs. Ruth Ella Munns Bandy, 83, passed away May 8, 1964 at the Baxter General Hospital, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., May 11, at Flippin, Arkansas, with graveside rites conducted by Rev. Harry Jowett of Gassville, Arkansas and Rev. Roy Moyer of Cotter Methodist Church.
She was born January 7, 1876 at Corning, Iowa, the daughter of James Munns, Jr. and Frances Marion Lovejoy Munns. She was married August 30, 1903 to George A. Bandy, deceased.
She was a graduate of the old Corning Academy and was active in the Congregational Church many years as her mother had always been.
Her only brother, Charles M. Munns of Corning, passed away two years ago. She is the last of an old pioneer family. Other relatives include her daughter and husband, Harold J. Moffett; two grandsons, Lt. Commander T. L. Berg, Jr, U.S.N. and George Robert Berg, RM 1/c U.S.N.; three great grandsons, Gary, Greg, and Billy Berg and one great granddaughter, Mallihah Berg.
