LULU STALDER

The funeral of Mrs. Oscar Stalder was held Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Zion conducted by Rev. Will McClelland assisted by Rev. Posten of Nodaway, Iowa. Interment made at Methodist Grove Cemetery. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband and five small children, the eldest child being about 8 years old and the youngest about three weeks, also other relatives and friends. The hereft have the sympathy of the community.

Lulu M. Bowers Stalder was born February 3, 1883 in Brooks, Adams County, Iowa to Fletcher William Simpson and Angeline Lawrence Bowers. She married William Oscar Stalder on July 26, 1904 in Brook, Adams County, Iowa at R. C. Rawley's home. The had five known children, Charles William, John Dale, Esther Mary, Ruth E., and Ruby. She died February 2, 1913 in Adams County, Iowa and is buried in the Methodist Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Oscar Stalder died at her home south of Brooks Sunday afternoon Febrruary 2, 1913, between the hours of 1and 2 o'clock. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in that vicinity Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. C. McClelland, and interment was made in the Methodist Grove cemetery. Mrs. Stalder's maiden name was Lulu Bowers. She was a daughter of Fleltcher and Anne Bowers. Her father preceded her in death about 11 years ago and her mother passed away when girl was a child. Mrs. Stalder was born and raised in the vicinity of her late home, where she was married about eight years ago to Mr. William Oscar Stalder, who was also reared near Brookds. Besides her husband, she leaves five children, several other relatives and a large circle of friends.
