Miller, Mary Rita -
Mary Rita Miller, daughter of Wm. A. Miller, died at St. Joseph's hospital in Omaha, Thursday, June 15, following an illness of about three weeks. She
was born Oct. 16, 1917, near Prescott, la., and at the time of her death was only 7 months 27 days past 21.

Her mother preceded her in death May 28, 1925. She is survived by her father, Wm. A. Miller, two sisters, Mrs. June Brokaw and Helen Miller, and two brothers, Bernard at home and Vincent of Omaha. There are also two nephews, Ronald Brokaw and Michael Miller.

Rita, as she was known to her many friends, was a girl possessed of the finest qualities of young womanhood, being most kind and considerate to those who were of advanced age as well as to her many young friends. She was always ready to help anyone in need of assistance and her place in the home and community cannot be filled.

She was a graduate of the Lenox high school in the class of 1936. She was a devout Catholic. Requiem mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's church in Lenox Monday morning, June 18, at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. P. J. Me Stay officiating. Pall bearers were Glen Hayes, Arthur Jones, John Jones, Homer O'Connell, Lawrence Miller and Paul Lewis Miller. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery at Corning.
