Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Margaret Moore were held Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 15, 1638 at the Fair View Christian church, conducted by the Rev. O. C. Huff, of Oakland, Iowa.
Obituary
Mary Margaret Mahr was born in Fulton County, Illinois, June 12, 1880, and passed away in Lenox, Iowa, on February 11, 1938, at the age of 57 years, 7 months, 29 days. She was the daughter of Philip and Mary Mahr. At the age of
3 years, she moved with her parents to a farm near Brooks, la. There she spent her girlhood days. She was converted at the age of 13 and united with the Methodist church at Ivyville. Later she became a member of the Fair View Christian church where she held her membership at the time of her death.

She was married to Bert Moore and to them were born four sons, Harold E., Nodaway, Iowa; Merle P., Conway, Carl B., Corning; and Wayne W., of Lenox, all of whom are living, and were present at the time of her going. Her husband preceded her in death on September 28, 1935.

Besides her children, she leaves 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers; George Mahr, of Indianola and John Mahr of Corning, Iowa, 3 daughter-in-laws, Mrs. Harold Moore, Mrs. Carl Moore and Mrs Merle Moore; and 4 half-brothers, Henry Reihm, McComb, Ill.; Charles Reihm, Canton, Ill.; Frank Reihm, London Mills, Ill.; and Charles Reihm, Avon, Ill. She also had a half-sister, Mrs. Chas. Alpaugh, who is deceased.

Her mother passed away May 7, 1921, and her father, December 14, 1923. A few years after the death of her husband, she moved away from the farm home, where they had had lived most of their married life and located at Corning, where she remained for about 5 years.

In 1934, she moved to Lenox, This was her home at the time of her departure.She was a wonderful mother. Mrs. Moore, known to many of her friends as well as her relatives as "Aunt Mae" had a pleasing personality, and a kind and most generous disposition. She was a good neighbor, always ready to help in time of need and her death will leave many without a friendship which they valued highly.
