WOOD family in Jackson

I've recently found a branch of my English family who emigrated to Providence, RI in 1848. I believe that one of the four interconnected families (who all came over on the ship Remittance from Liverpool to New York) ended up farming in Adair County, Iowa. In the 1870 census at Richland are Arthur and Margaret WOOD, with children Joseph, James, Mary J, William, Margaret, and Elizabeth. I would love to know more about Richland in 1870, and to contact any one else interested in this family.
