Family of Thomas N Johnson

I have been researching the family of Thomas N Johnson (1814-1889). He was my husband's great great grandfather. I recently found a history of Washington Township on the IowaGenWeb site.
I found that he was the first settler of this township. One of the things I read was that the first child to die in this township was a child of Thomas and Rosa Johnson. I believe this may have been a daughter, Amanda, for I haven't been able to find her on census records after the 1860 census.

I would appreciate any information you might have concerning her death. Is there a death certificate or burial site?

I have Iowa census information from 1856=1860. After that they moved to Oregon and then to California where I find them in Colusa County in 1870.

Any other information about this family would be great. Thank you.
