LEPARDLEPPARDLEOPARDVARIANTS OF ABOVE

Need help locating death/burial/obit for my ggg grandfather PETER LEPARD, found on Lincoln Twp, Adair County census in 1870 and 1880...after that he doesn't show up with his son Abraham/Abram who moves to Walnut in Polk County by 1890 census.
Peter does not show up on the 1885 census for Iowa, so I believe he died in Lincoln Twp between 1880 and 1885...can someone local find him? Thanks!
