FUNERAL RITES FOR ALBERT F. GIRARD

Albert F. Girard was born near Wooster, Ohio on April 18, 1875 and died at Sioux City, Iowa, July 3, 1950. He was brought to Adair County as an infant by his parents and he grew to manhood in Harrison township.

He was married to Mary Roach (Roche) at Stuart. Later they moved to Creston, where for many years he was a dealer in coal and farm implements. His wife passed on twenty-five years ago, and he went to Sioux City, where for some years he was engaged in the coal and feed business. He retired several years ago.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Church in Greenfield on July 7, 1950, and he was buried beside his wife at Creston.

One child was born to this union, now Marie Sheehan of Carleton, Michigan. The daughter and three sisters of the deceased, Mrs. George D. Musmaker,Sr., Mrs. Patrick H. Swift, and Mrs. Joe Swift, besides many nieces and nephews were in attendance at the funeral.

Mr. Girard was a "Hail Fellow Well Met" toward everyone. He had many close friends, and he had the love and respect of all.

Note: Albert Francis Girard was son of Theophilus J. Girard and Mary Louise Martin
He married Mary I. Roche Feb. 21,1898 in Stuart, Iowa.
