DEATH OF MRS. MUSMAKER
OLD RESIDENT OF ADAIR COUNTY
PASSED AWAY JUNE 11, 1913

Mrs. Mary Welch, having lived her four score years and more, passed quietly to her eternal rest Wednesday, June 11, 1913 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. T. Heifner in Lee township at the age of 82 years, nine months, and twenty-six days.

Mrs. Musmaker was born at Killmurry, Ireland. She came to America at the age of seventeen and to Muscatine, Iowa before the civil war.

She was married at Elmira, New York to Mr. George Musmaker. The family came to Adair county in 1877. Six children were born to this union: Angie died at the age of nine years; John, James E., Mrs. Uriah B. Heifner, Mrs. William T. Heifner, and George D.

Mr George Musmaker, the husband and father, died September 1906. Since then Mrs. Musmaker has made her home with her children.

Funeral services were conducted Friday forenoon at St. John's Catholic Church in charge of Father Danahey, with burial in the Greenfield Cemtery beside her husband.

It is said by those intimately acquainted with Mrs. Musmaker that while living she thought and lived for others. She was loved by her children. Everybody looked good to her, and everyone who knew her loved her for the amiable qualities she possessed. Nothing was too good for her children while under her care and protection, and her sons and daughters will not soon forget their mother.
