Lorraine L.Fry, 67, of Creston died June 29,2004 at the Creston Nursing & rehab Center in Creston.
Lorraine L.Fry was born Sept.10, 1936 to Howard Everett & Veda Ruth [Clark-Conard] Sackett in rural Adair County. She graduated from Zion High School in 1955.
On Oct.25,1973 she married C.D.Fry in Creston. She was a homemakker, member of the Eagles Lodge & Eagles Women's Auxiliary & a former member of Moose Lodge in Galesburg, Ill.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 stepsons Doug & Duane Fry; brother Jay Sackett; sisters Shirley & Wanda; & 3 brothers-in-law Alva Fulton. Waltrer Pugh & Bob Strong.
Lorainne is survived by 6 children Daniel Smith & wife Marilyn of Oquawka, Ill., Dawna McVey & friend Tim Boyce of Little York, Ill., Doug Smith & wife Kendyl of Smithshire, Ill.; Denice Beck & husband Tim of Creston, Dwight Fry of Burlington & Darrell Fry & friend Pam Long of Monmouth, Ill.; 2 special children Darrin Dennisar of Jacksonville, Ill. & Debbie Dobson of Auburn, Ill.; brother Virgil Sackett & wife Louise of Des Moines; sisters Margaret Strong & Karen Pugh both of Des Moines, Luene Westrum of Longmont, Colorado; LeRee Berry & husband Donald & Vesper Sackett all of Creston, & Joan Sackett of Adel; sister-in-law Betty Sackett of Mo.; brother-in-law Rex Held of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday July 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Woldfuff officiating.
Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Creston.
