Mary Lou Forret 68, passed away Ayg.21,2004 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Greenfield.
She was born Dec.17,1935 to Nicholas and Alberta [Loper] Forret in rural Dallas County.
Mary grew up in Dallas County attending Van Meter middle schools and graduated from East High School in Des Moines.
Mary was employed by Parker Bros. Games in Urbandale until they closed. Mary was a medical aide at the Dallas County Care Facility in Adel where she retired. Presently she was employed by Owner Revolutions Inc. of Adair.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Thelma Forret and Catherine Powell; parents Alberta and Nicholas Forret.
She is survived by her daughter Shawn Raasch and husband Daryl of Adair; grandson Blake Schnormeier of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter Kelsey Keller of Adair; great-grandson Austin Schnormeier; 3 sisters Betty O'Leary and husband Doyle of Johnston, Barbara Moorehead of Fontanelle and Cindy Walker and husband Dean of Bouton; 5 nieces; 3 nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday Aug.25 at Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Bryan Anderson officiating.
Music tributes were by soloist Paul Nelson and accompanist Elizabeth Lundstedt.
Pallbearers were Dean Walker, Don, Dale and Trent Raasch, Dave and Gary O'Leary.
Honorary pallbearers were Rick, Corey and Cole Langford.
The floral committee was Gina Boenhamer and Carol Dawson.
Interment was in the Fontanelle Cemetery.
