Patrick Warren Benton, 55 died Aug.30. He was born Aug.25,1945 in Guthrie Center, the son of Max and Jean Benton. He grew up learning the ways of the farm, learning to hunt, fish and work.

He graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1968.

He was married June 28,1969 to Kathy Jean Betts.

He began to work with his father-in-law Dean Betts to learn the construction trade and soon was running crews as foreman. He had been working for Taylor Construction the past 18 years as a superintendent.

Mr.Benton loved to hunt and fish. Since they lived in Colorado he spent his vacation hunting in the mountains of Colorado with his sons and nephews.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; 3 sons Troy, Kyre and Trevor; a daughter Kelcee; 1 grandchild; his parents Max and Jean Benton; his brother Mike; 2 sisters Malia and Kim; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
