Nellie Rivenburg was born in Adair County, Iowa Oct.8,1891 and passed away at Creston Manor in Creston Jan.5,1981 at the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of John and Barbara Harris.

She was married to Frank Rivenburg Dec.23,1909. To this union 3 children were born 2 sons Merle F.Rivenburg of Creston and Willis W.Rivenburg of Vancouver, Wash. and a daughter Mildred A.[Mrs.Lloyd Hicks] of Creston.

She also leaves to mourn her passing grandsons Gordon Rivenburg of Vancouver, Wash.; Neil Rivenburg of Scottsdale,Ariz.; Jon Rivenburg of Eugene,Ore.; Dennis Sychra of Mt.Ayr and a granddaughter Kathryn [Mrs. Joe Cinton] of Massena; 7 great-grandchildren and a brother Earl Harris of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon Jan.8 at the Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield. Rev.Charles D.Gilbert was in charge of the service with organ selections by Mrs.Alice Hogan.

Pallbearers included Joe Clinton, Dennis Sychra, Lyle Rivenburgh, Lloyd Harris, Howard Harris and Audra Skellenger. Interment was in the Greenfield Cemetery
