Funeral services for Mrs.Elizabeth Handley were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Christian Church in Greenfield. The Rev.W.H.Hastie of Albia conducted the services. Members of the choir who furnished music were: Mrs. R.W.Hoyt, Mrs.K.H.Sidey, Russell Piper and A.G.Piper with Russell Piper as accompanist. The selections were: "The Old Rugged Cross" "In The Garden" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken"?

Those serving as pallbearers were: Hal Dorsey, R.W.Hoyt, George Sawyer, W.A.Otis, H.P.Proctor and Sam Murphy. Interment took place in the Prussia Center Cemetery.

Elizabeth H.Hanna was born July 21,1853 in Cedar County, Iowa where she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to John F.Handley, December 21,1875.

They made their home in Cedar County until 1893 when they moved to Adair County where she has since resided.

To this union was born 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son: Clara M.Noland of Greenfield; Nora B. Woodson of Shenandoah; Virginia M.Conway of Casey; Bert F.Handley of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband December 5,1902 and has made her home most of the time with her daughter, Mrs Clara Noland of Greenfield, where she was cared for by her children in her lingering illness and passed away July 11, at 11 p.m. at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 20 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure, 1 brother, Joe Hanna of Kansas, 4 children, 12 grandchildren and a niece. Mrs. Edith Gadboyes of Sioux City, Iowa, whom she gave a mothers care when young, also a host of friends and neighbors.

Hers was the true life of a fine Christian and her upright integrity and exemplary life completes the fine memories of those who knew her best.

Mrs.Handley was a member of the M.E. Church of Greenfield for several years, but in 1925 she became a member of the Church of Christ to which she remained faithful to the end.

Relatives attending the services from other vicinities were:Mrs. Myrtie A.Kemp of St.Joseph, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Walkup, daughter and son,Blanche, glen and the latter's daughter, Pauline; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W.Noland of Belleville,Kansas; Miss May Moore of Bristo, Oklahoma; Gertrude Handley of San Francisco, California; Mrs.W.J.Hastie of Albia; Mr. and Mrs.Rex Mosher and son Darrell of Shenandoah; Mr. and Mrs.Ernest Conway and daughter Cathryn of Menlo and Gladys Anderson.
