Lillis Edna Lundy Fredericksen, 82, died on Sept.28,2002 in Beverly Manor at Seal Beach, Calif.

She was born Dec. 15,1919, to William and Marie Lundy in Prussia Township, Adair County, Iowa.

She attended Greenfield High School, graduating in 1938.

Lillis taught in a 1 room school until she married Alvy Fredericksen on Nov. 24,1938.

She and her family moved to Calif. in 1948. Alvy and Lillis ran their own restaurant business for several years. After selling that business, Lillis became a housewife until she went back to work as a sales clerk at Sears Roebuck until retirement.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, crafts, golfing, bowling, playing cards, ballroom dancing and most of all, her family.

Lillis was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. When her grandchildren were in the room, her eyes sparkled and a smile would always appear on her face with little regard for the pain she had to endure for so many years.

She is survived by her husband; 3 children, Richard Fredericksen, Shirley Salter, and Tim Fredericksen; 6 grandchildren, Rick, Steve, Erik, Kristin, Dawn and Jim Jr.; 7 great-grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Madely, Hannah, Ryan, Mason and Isabella; and 1 brother Raymond Lundy of Greenfield, Iowa.
