Mrs. Cora Scott Pioneer Dies

Mrs. Cora A.Scott who has been a resident of the Orient community for 52 years died at her home in Orient at 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning July 26,1953 at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 5 days.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband 5 years ago in June. She is survived by 3 children, 2 sons Kenneth of Hamlin, Tx.; Walter of Orient and 1 daughter Mrs. Hazel Zager of Ellsworth, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Bickford Funeral Home and remained there until Tuesday morning when it was brought to the home at 10 a.m. to remain until time of the services at 2:30 p.m.at the Methodist Church in Orient. Rev. Oren L.Reger officiated. Burial was in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery near Spaulding. The Eastern Star attended the services in a body.
