Final Rites for Mrs. Edith Gatchel Bush who passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City on Friday Nov.21,1958 were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday Nov. 24,1958 in the Christian Church at Winterset, Iowa with Rev. Robert O.Owens officiating.

Six nephews of Mrs. Bush attended the casket to the final resting place in the Hill of Zion Cemetery in Adair County. They were Wray Bush, Leslie Bush, Harry Christiansen, Frank Rankin, Wilber Rankin and Newton Rogers.

Edith M.Bush daughter of Harvey S. and Sylvania Evans Gatchel was born in Madison County on March 2,1878 and passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City on Nov.21,1958 at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 19 days.

On June 15,1898 she was married to Leander E.Bush. They spent the first 7 years of their married life on a farm near Winterset and 39 years on a farm near Greenfield. In 1944 they retired to a home in Winterset where they lived until the death of Mr.Bush on June 28,1949. After that she made her home with a daughter in Corydon and the last few months with a daughter in Greenfield.

She leaves to mourn her passing 5 children Harry of Schwartz Creek, Mich.; Elsie Martin of Greenfield; Lucille Walker of Tempa, Arz.;Alice Morris of Durand, Mich.; and Gladys Stark of Stuart. Also surviving her are 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a brother Clarence.
