Albert R.Chew eldest son of Thomas M. and Clara Rebecca Chew, was born June 26,1884 near Cumberland, Iowa and passed away on April 23,1972 in the Good Samaritan Center Fontanelle at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 27 days.

Albert grew up in Cumberland and received his education there. After graduating from Cumberland High School, he took a business course in Highland Park College in Des Moines.

On June 8,1904 he was united in marriage to Ploma Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 1 sister Mrs. Ralph [Luva] Reynolds; 2 brothers Otis of Winterset, Iowa and Lester of Cumberland, Iowa.

Those who remain to mourn his departure are his wife Ploma; a sister Ola Campbell of Claremore,Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.

Although they had no children of their own he loved the children around them.
