Doris Adams (Weaver) Kidman, 91, of Des Moines, passed away on March 2, 2013.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., March 7, 2013, at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 North Ankeny Blvd.) A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, also at the funeral home.

Doris was born on December 20, 1921, to Jacob Delbert Weaver and Faye (Adams) Weaver in Greenfield, IA. She was married to John Robert Kidman for over 50 years. Doris lived in the home that her father built on Hubbell Avenue for over 60 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, collecting giraffes and her canine friends.

She is survived by her sister Marian Champ of Tucson, AZ; a son, Michael (Renee) Kidman, Ankeny, IA; and daughters, Patty (Tom) Hunt, Ankeny, IA and Sue Scheve (Gary Harshberger) Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Kristen (Ryan) Caffrey, Craig (Julia) Hunt, Matthew Kidman (Becky Johnson), Jason Kidman, Lisa (Jeff) Denzin; and twelve great-grandchildren.
