Mrs. Bess Herick Died in Idaho

Bess Herrick, 94, of Buhl, Idaho died at Magic Valley Hospital, December 19, 1978.

She was born June 20, 1884 to John D. and Elizabeth Greer Caskey in Adair county. She was the youngest of eight children, preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.

She was united in marriage to Charles Oscar Herrick on January 26, 1910. Joined in married by Rev. George T. Herrick, father of Oscar Herrick. She was preceded in death by her husband.

They farmed in the Hebron neighborhood for a number of years, moved to Winterset several years, moved to Idaho in 1934 and farmed until their retirement.

Mrs. Herrick, was affiliated with First Christian Church in Winterset, Iowa and Buhl, Idaho.

Survivors included her two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Callison of Winterset, Iowa and Geraldine Wiseman of Twin Falls, Idaho; a son Russell Herrick of Buhl, Idaho. Six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Buhl, Wednesday, December 13, 1798 at Farmer Chapel with Dr. James Huckaba officiating. Final rites and burial were in West End Cemetery (Buhl, Idaho).
