(Walter)Ellis Herrick, son of George and Ella (McCullough) Herrick was born in Winterset, January 13, 1894.

He was united in marriage to Nellie Cozier, on June 18, 1907. To this union, one daughter, Elma, was born. They lived on a farm south of Antia for many years and have resided in Anita since 1944. He suffered a stroke about a yer ago and had been unable to do any heavy work since that time; about six months ago he suffered another stroke, which paralyzed his right side and since that time has gradually grown worse until his passing December 30, 1961.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Storer of Stockton, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Elliott of Fontanelle, and Mrs. Esther Parlee of Greenfield; five brothers, George and Verne of Bridgewater, Clarence of Greenfeld; Oscar of Buhl, Idaho; Emery of Twin Falls, Idaho; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step daughter, Mrs. Gladys Pettigrew, who passed away in 1929, two sisters Jennie and Hazel, who died in infancy.
