Leona Mertes Buried
At Adair Last Friday

Funeral services for Miss Leona
E. Mertes were held Friday morning
at 10:00 o'clock at St. John's Catholic
church in Adair. Miss Mertes died
early Tuesday morning at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J.
Mertes, in Adair following a long ill-
ness due to heart disease. She was
born in Exira and was well known
here.
